Queen City Motion Graphic

This was a 15-second motion graphic developed for the Cincinnati local rock band, Trauma Illinois.

This was based on a concept of a city represented as an entire miniature world where everything spins on its axis, including the stars and sky. I chose a dual-chromatic color palette, using cooler blues and teals for darker values and yellow hues for added warmth. As the world “unfolds” itself before the viewer’s eyes, each building is scaled out to grow from the center of the planet in a clockwise fashion. Then, after everything is revealed, the entire scene rotates on its axis for maximum visual impact as the camera shifts between sky and earth.
